including Wheal Regent. Located on both sides of the railway, about 2 miles east of St Austell, this copper mine boasts several dumps, notably Engine Shaft near the Pinetum. Although lacking an adit, water emerges from a sizable dump near the latter shaft. Established in 1855, it incorporated the preexisting Wheal Regent. Over the period from 1855 to 1859, it produced 1,665 tons of copper ore.
