Large three chambered cave with some pillared remnants. Of the various accessible ‘caves’ along the Cheshire sandstone ridge this is the largest and most attractive.



Formed by the extraction of scouring sand over a long period.



Within woodland owned by the Bolesworth Estate. Public footpath nearby and access seems to be tolerated. (CAUTION: some other areas of the woodland are managed for pheasant shooting)
