Main working exploiting the West Castlenook Lode is just above valley floor. Two short trial levels at NY 231 170 and NY 231 171.



25fm level driven by executors of Andrew Clarke in 1860, with shaft sunk 10fm below adit. Mine closed in 1964 having raised 55 tons of ore.

In 1917, renewed interest shown by W.H. Heywood in upper trial levels.
