The area consists of a number of adits and shallow shafts along the Geirionydd Gorge between the Klondyke Adit and the Taliesyn monument near Llyn Geirionydd. The lower entrances are levels driven on both sides of the gorge, some with substantial stoping. At the head of the gorge is a line of shallow shafts.

late 18C Bennet & Vernon think the mines most active during this period.
1820 Worked by Robert Hughes of Bangor.
1826-35 Returned about a ton of ore every year.
1838-40 4 to 6 men at work by Robert Parry.
1841-58 Intermittent working.
1858-63 John Roberts with up to 9 men produces total of 60 tons of lead ore.
1863-69 Mine at standstill.
1870-78 Roberts commences work again with 2/3 men raising about 5 tons of lead ore in this period.
1879-80 James H. Crofts - a stockbroker takes lease.
1881-1918 Mainly unlet.
1918 Acquired by the shadowy Devon and Crafnant Mining Syndicate.
