On two levels the upper of which was subject to a large roof fall at some time. The huge slab that fell lies at the entrance.



A small, probably natural, cave expanded in the 1700’s by extraction of scouring sand.
Became known as Mad Alan’s Hole sometime in the late 1800’s when a local hermit used it as a home. Old skeletal head carved nearby.
