Prominent workings all over hillside. Deep adit up to Victoria level can be explored as part of the show mine.
There is a reference to Sygun in the Mining Journal, 29th November 1851 as Hafod y Llan, but Hafod y Llan is a distinct and separate concern on the other side of the valley.
The Mining Journal 1851-11-29: Vol 21 Iss 849 does go on to describe a proposal by a company called Hafod y Llan Copper & Lead Mines Company to purchase and work both Hafod y Llan and Sygun. Hiram Williams and Ernest Noel were the consulting mine engineers. Some more details on Hiram Williams are available at the link below.
