A small headgear remains along with the engine house.
The mine closed in the 1870s and was converted to a pumping station to drain the other mines in the area. Originally the pumps were steam powered and coal was provided by the Swannington Incline. In 1947 they were converted to Electric power.
Engine house is now occupied by an interior design company. It can be viewed from the access road or the footpath running down from the hill behind.
