Situated behind the ‘Pop Factory’ or Lydbrook Valley Springs bottling plant. A small track runs around the side of the buildings and leads to the mouth of the adit which is gated. There is parking space for two cars. The entrance tunnel, c 6 ft square, goes for 50 feet before splitting into two passages. The left hand passage leads to a large open area about 50 x 12 x 15 feet, with a small pool at the far end, known as Lydbrook Lake. This has been dived 6 feet into a chamber with a 40 climb to a small hole. The concluding underwater in Sump 2 closes down after 22 feet where the roof meets a mud floor. Total length 650 feet.
