A series of east-west striking lodes within Silurian Frongoch formation mudstones and grits, containing galena and barytes mineralisation.

The site features two shafts and two levels, including a wet adit upstream, centered on SO 9895 8335. Earthwork traces of tramway track beds are visible on the spoil heaps. Manual dressing is evidenced by sorted rock fragments and jigger tailings found on the heaps.

In the 1800’s, geologist W.W. Smyth recorded ‘a vein chiefly of Sulphate of Barytes’

An inspection in 1872 by Henry Francis for owner Edward Jenkins reveals a waterwheel, a broken drawing machine and a 120 fm level cutting several lodes near an engine shaft.

No further work was made.
