Silurian Frongoch formation mudstones and shales, with galena mineralisation occurring in a single north-south striking lode.

Six levels descend the hillside, with four located at SN 9620 8070 and two on the south side of the Afon Dulas at SN 9606 8065. An additional single level is situated to the northeast at SN 9583 8105. Most of these levels have collapsed or are otherwise inaccessible.

In the late 1950s, Bick reports bottom two adits as blocked. Higher level 70m long with some underhand stoping. Higher again was a 15m long level. He also reports a seemingly very old level 1/4 miles downstream on the east side of the river.

Year Activity
1855 Worked by Tylwch United, with mine agent James Roach reporting that lode 1 had been driven for 40fm, and a northern lode was being explored by a pit.
1857 Deep adit at 80fm length, No 2 lode adit, 40fm. Upper level on hillside driven and sinking on the lode in a shallow adit. No ore found and mine soon closed.
