Underground trials.
Two main adits remain open, both terminating in dead headings; the southern adit ends at a face partly drilled for shot firing. Additional collapsed adits survive at SH631454, SH632457, and SH634457. A nearby ruined building may have been associated with these trial workings.
An abortive set of underground trial workings, never developed into a productive quarry. Drilling in the southern adit suggests an attempted drive toward the Cnicht slate, possibly seeking an easier access route.
