Cluster of barytes workings is situated northwest of Hartside Cross, operating on the Rowton Beck/Daffenside and Loo Gill veins. These workings experienced their peak production during the 1940s, but operations were subsequently halted in favor of exploiting cheaper ore sources available at the nearby Silverband Mine.
