Atop the outcrop of Hunters Vein, which marks the easternmost vein of the Lunehead Veins. This vein was also worked from Renneygill Level of Lunehead Mine (NY8638 2058). Previously, good specimens of barytocalcite could be collected from the hush beside the Middleton-in-Teesdale to Brough road. Unfortunately, this area has now been landscaped into a car park. However, the hush itself still remains, albeit somewhat overgrown. The grid reference provided corresponds to the location cited in Dunham for the outcrop in Foster’s Hush of Hunter’s Vein.
