A couple of disappointing changes in Corris

Visited a couple of slate mines in the Corris area over the last week and noticed some changes I hadn't seen anyone else mention.

First up in Gaewern Slate Mine, I haven't made it into this part of the mine before, just the famous scrapheap below. I was most interested in seeing the miners steps carved into the slate bed, a fairly unique design and one that should have been around this corner, only the landowners have seriously upped their efforts to keep people out of this one part of Gaewern, does anyone know if there was an incident because it was most bizarre when the rest of Gaewern seems to have been left alone.

Secondly is Foel Grochan with the more upsetting news. On floor 8 (road level) there was a wooden flatbed slab wagon, along with the abandoned Eimco and two waste wagons on the tracks. Disturbingly this flatbed wagon is absent. Not sure when it disappeared but it's unlikely to have made it out of the mine so the only place I can imagine it's now resting is the bottom of one of the flooded chambers after some heartless vandals have visited. It was fairly easy to push along the rails when I first visited years ago.

Is this the connection that can lead into King Arthur s Labyrinth tours - I think that's why it's there or they have some cables / electrical connections around. Something like that if my memory serves me correct

Was in Foel at weekend & can confirm wagon is nowhere to be seen!
Quite odd that must of took some serious effort to move & throw in somewhere.

Gaewern looks like its been done up by some sort of robotic spider!

The barbed wire is to stop people accessing parts of braichgoch that are used by corris mine explorers and kings Arthur's. And the slab wagon in foel is at the bottom of the flooded chamber with the gangway, been there a few years now. It's on either lost mines or Paul Marvin's dive video can't remember which.
